PHYS 009H: Honors Introductory Physics II for Physical Sciences [4 units]
A mathematically intense introduction to classical electromagnetism for students who are motivated to learn physics at an advanced level. Utilizing calculus, topics include electrostatics, magnetism, AC and DC circuits, electromagnetism, and optics. Advanced coursework prepares students for advanced study in physical science and engineering courses.
Prerequisite: (MATH 022 , which may be taken concurrently, or equivalent score on the Competency Exam) and (MATH 021 , must be completed with B or better, or equivalent score on the Competency Exam) and one of the following options: (PHYS 008 , must be completed with A- or better) or (PHYS 008H , must be completed with B or better).
Course may not be taken for credit after obtaining credit for: PHYS 009 , PHYS 019 . Normal Letter Grade only. Discussion, Laboratory included.
