POLI 142: Contemporary Chinese Politics

[4.0 units]

The purpose of the course is to introduce students to major issues in contemporary Chinese politics. The course will focus on the major challenges confronting China today, including economic reform and development, social unrest, democratization and the Tiananmen movement, village elections, ethnic conflicts, news media, Taiwan, and China’s foreign relations.

Normal Letter Grade only.
