CRES 142: Black Feminist Theories Units: 4
Offers an overview of approaches to Black feminism by centering the long and diverse history of Black women’s various approaches of envisioning, theorizing, and advocating for a more just society. Highlights the ways that Black feminist strategies and perspectives are evident in the intellectual and activist work of Black women throughout history. Recognizes the long history of Black women visionaries whose ideas and contributions have been obscured by structural and cultural forces.
