MIST 132: Geographic Information Systems Analysis for Management Units: 4
Introduces geographic information systems (GIS) as a decision support tool for problem solving in resource management. Lectures and readings cover topics such as spatial analysis, databases, cartography, and communication to inform decision making. GIS lab modules relate applied cases to course content to build a geospatial toolkit. Students will complete a final project that includes data collection, analysis, and communication of findings.
