MSE 152: Materials Processing & Performance II: Materials Selection Units: 4
Explores materials selection and processing for engineering applications. Topics include materials property charts and the Ashby method of materials selection, integrating environmental considerations into the material selection process, processing methods for the metal, ceramic, and polymer families of engineering materials, 3D printing, and process selection. Students will gain hands-on experience using materials selection software and will perform a team project.
