BIO 139: Research Lab of Cell Biology Units: 3
Introduces discovery-based research on cell biology. Students will generate novel recombinant proteins and determine their subcellular localization in cultured cells. Students will learn DNA recombination and gene expression in live cells, practice cell morphological study via immunocytochemistry, and search literatures on cell signaling and human diseases. They will present their results in a poster presentation at the end of the semester.
