ENG 022: Love and its Languages Units: 4
Examines how attitudes to love are shaped and what range of skills the act of loving requires. Looks to poems, novels, short stories, movies, and art to learn from writers who have contemplated this topic, and focus on on the role of communication, empathy and reception in the relationships portrayed in these texts, as well as the role of translation as a skill that underpins the act of understanding across cultural, political, and personal divides.
