GASP 003: Introduction to Visual Culture

An introduction to visual material in art and mass media from cultures throughout the world. Emphasizes the development of students’ own critical skills in analyzing and understanding visual culture. Topics include artworks from antiquity to postmodernism, as well as issues in mass media, pop culture, and cyberspace.
