BIOE 001: Bioengineering Seminar

Informs on career paths of bioengineers in the private and public sectors, and academia. Explores the role of bioengineers in research including medicine, biotechnology, biopharma, synthetic biology and biomedical imaging. Introduces examples of bio/biomedical engineering problems related to the interaction between living and non-living systems, and examples of design and fabrication of bio/biomedical engineering components. Inculcates ethical and professional responsibilities in the bioengineering profession. Raises awareness on economic, societal and environmental factors in bioengineering.
