In addition to adhering to General Education and School of Social Sciences, Humanities and Arts Requirements , the Global Arts Studies major requires at least 48 units (some of which simultaneously meet general education requirements). Courses in the major must be taken for a letter grade, and specifically may not be taken on a pass/no pass basis unless the course is only offered on a pass/no pass basis.

- Complete one additional lower division GASP course.

- GASP 190: Theories of Expressive Culture [4 units]
- GASP 191: Senior Thesis [4 units]
Non-Studio/Ensemble Course [4 units]
Complete one course from the following:
Additional Degree Requirements [16 Units]
Studio/Ensemble Requirements [12 units]
Music and/or Dance Requirement [4 units]
Complete four units chosen from the following:
Visual Arts Requirement [4 units]
Complete four units chosen from the following:
Additional Studio/Ensemble Requirement [4 units]
Complete four units chosen from the following:
Additional Non-Studio/Ensemble Requirement [4 units]
Complete one additional non-studio/ensemble course from the following:
Transfer Students
The Global Arts Studies major is not available to incoming transfer students until the 2017-2018 school-year. Transfer students who wish to major in Global Arts Studies should complete the Intersegmental General Education Transfer Curriculum (IGETC) at their community college. Please contact the Office of Admissions for current information.
