PHYS 010: Introductory Physics III

[4 units]

An introduction to developments in modern physics over the last 100 years that have radically altered our view of nature. Particular emphasis is placed on the quantum theory, with applications to atoms, molecules, solids, and light.

Prerequisite: (PHYS 008 or PHYS 008H or PHYS 018 or equivalent exam) and MATH 024, which may be taken concurrently, and ( PHYS 009 or PHYS 009H or PHYS 019, any of which may be taken concurrently). Laboratory included.
