MED 021: Introduction to Medical Learning: Assessing Community Needs

This course will begin introducing students to the service learning and experiential learning components of the SJV PRIME+ program. This course will provide opportunities to understand the importance of community engagement within the healthcare system as well as provide the opportunity to learn about clinical practice through direct shadowing of physicians. Students will be asked to participate in a community engagement symposium to present on what they learned throughout the academic year during their experiential learning and service-learning participation.
