NSED 180: Critical Perspectives on the History of Science and Mathematics Units: 4
Provides an introduction to the history of science and mathematics, with a focus on theories of how science and mathematics advance. Students will learn about key developments in physical sciences and mathematics and explore what these milestones illustrate about the nature of scientific progress. Though the focus of the course is largely historical, students will also reflect on how historical and philosophical insights can inform contemporary teaching practices in math and science.
