EE 101: Electronic Circuit Design I

Units: 4

Design and analyze diode, bipolar transistor, and FET circuit models. Computer-aided design calculations, amplifier operating point design, and frequency response of single and multistage amplifiers, especially high-frequency and low-frequency designs. Analysis and simulation of elementary transistor stages, current mirrors, supply- and temperature-independent bias, and reference circuits. Overview of integrated circuit technologies, components, component variations and practical design paradigms. Differential circuits, frequency response, and feedback.
