CHE 001: Introduction to Chemical and Materials Engineering
Units: 1
Exposes students to topics in chemical and materials engineering. Students will learn about careers in chemical engineering, and materials science and engineering. Topics will include sustainability, polymers, catalysis, semiconductors, 3D printing, separations and engineering processing. Invited talks from industry will be included.

Instructor Permission Required: No
First year students entering with declared MSE and CHE majors should take the course in their first year. As it is a degree requirement, students transferring from other majors or institutions should take the class as early as possible.
