CSE 001: Introduction to Computer Science Units: 1
Introduces students to computer science and prepares them to successfully navigate the computer science and engineering major. Presents basic computing concepts through hands-on activities. Explores technical, health and safety, equity and justice, environmental, economic, and other critical issues in the context of computing projects. An overview of application fields and careers in computer science is discussed. Instills a sense of professional and ethical responsibility in students. Develops communication skills and portfolio development.

Requisites and Restrictions Instructor Permission Required: No Recommended only to students interested in a Computer Science major and as early as possible in the major.
