ES 242: Geospatial Analysis for Watershed Science and Management Units: 4
Geospatial analysis of watershed science and management is used to solve problems at the coupled human natural system interface by using advances in geographic information systems (GIS), remote sensing, and statistical modeling. This class couples reading, lecture, discussion, and hands-on computational learning modalities to address contemporary problems in local and regional watershed contexts. Study topics include geology and climate; riverine ecosystems and geomorphology; ecosystem restoration; water management and planning; and environmental and climate justice.
